Croeso i Gymru - Welcome to Wales.
At Drover Holidays, we believe Wales is best explored slowly - on foot or by bike. By travelling at walking or cycling pace we see, hear, smell and experience more. Our self-guided and escorted cycling and walking holidays cover the length and breadth of Wales and the Welsh Borders and vary in length from two nights to two weeks.
We offer a wide range of walking and cycling itineraries graded from "easy" to "strenuous" but we understand that all our customers are unique. Our philosophy isn't to sell you an "off the peg" holiday but to tailor the tour to your exact requirements. So let us know if you would like us to put together an extra-challenging MTB weekend, a charity bike ride or a long-distance walk with dog-friendly accommodation and we will do our best to make it happen.
At Drover Holidays we have a well-maintained fleet of over 60 high quality bicycles - from mountain bikes to baby seats - which are available to hire from our base in Hay on Wye in the Brecon Beacons National Park. Bike hire includes maps, safety equipment and, if you hire a bike for a day or longer, we'll even deliver it free of charge to your accommodation or the trail.
For the best experience, we strongly recommend you take advantage of our guiding service. Our qualified leaders know the local area intimately and will take care of route planning and navigation. We guarantee you will get a lot more out of your day with a guide!
We love walking and cycling in this part of the world and we look forward to welcoming you to Wales soon. Living and working in the Brecon Beacons National Park makes us very aware of the need to balance the needs of the visitor, the natural environment and the local community. Operating in an environmentally and socially responsible way is very important to us. We are delighted to have recently been awarded a Silver grading by the Green Tourism Business Scheme.
