It's also a land of wonderful scenery, mountain roads, historic sites and great food. We really want you to come and experience it all on a bike, because it's simply the best way to travel. If you think you're too unfit, old or wobbly on a bike, think again! The answer is an electric bicycle tour, of course...
We've adapted our range of Welsh cycling short breaks and holidays and added Spencer Ivy electric bikes to our hire fleet, allowing you to breeze over the hills with ease. If an errant sheep of a tempting pub cause you to stop at the bottom of a hill, the power-assisted bike will boost you up the other side without the risk of getting sweaty.
You don't have to take our word for it - just look at the smiles on the faces of these e-bike novices!
Prices start from £215 per person for a weekend break, including good quality B&B accommodation, electric bike hire, luggage transfer and route maps. We also provide free transfers from the nearest station at the start and end of your tour so you can leave your car at home and enjoy a holiday that's entirely reliant on carbon-efficient modes of transport!
All the cycling short breaks and cycling holidays featured in our Self Guided Cycling Routes section are available as electric bike tours. We've also put together the following cycle breaks which are specially designed for e-bikes.
A two-day, two-night break based in the picturesque book town of Hay on Wye in the Welsh borders. Enjoy two 25-mile circular rides from the town, exploring the pretty black and white villages of Herefordshire and the Wye Valley's wonderful scenery on the Welsh side.
Based in the market town of Brecon, this two-day, two-night tour is a great way to explore the Brecon Beacons National Park. A 25 mile ride on your first day takes you along the Taff Trail to the beautiful Talybont Reservoir. On day two there's a choice of rides - explore the lovely Llangorse Lake and enjoy a spot of birdwatching from the lakeshore or enjoy a battery-boosted ride up to the National Park Visitor centre for glorious views of the highest peaks in the Brecon Beacons.
Electric Wales breaks are entirely flexible, so there are no fixed departure dates so you can choose when to take your e-bike break! All our electric bike holidays include:
